N. D. Grover Memorial Super Performers’ Felicitation Ceremony

DAV Hazaribag held its seventh N.D. Grover Memorial Super Performers’ Felicitation Ceremony today at the Sr. Wing of the school here. The name of Shri Grover, the visionary of whose missionary zeal for making quality education accessible to all, DAV Hazaribag is the product, has come to symbolize his mission. With a view to perpetuate his legacy, DAV Hazaribag has been holding this ceremony since 2009. This year this function was jointly inaugurated by Hon’ble Shri Deepak Verma, IPS , Retd IG and Shri Sheo Dayal Singh Ex Principal Markham College of Commerce,Hazaribag and Shri Amit Roy Zonal Manager,BOI,Hazaribag.

In his address to the audience which included, apart from the students and the faculty, the super performers and their parents and the prominent citizens, Hon’ble Shri Deepak Verma, IPS , Retd IG felicitated IIT , JEE-Advanced &  Medical. He said on the occasion that Shri Grover was indeed to be called Mahatma for his sacrifices that he did for the society. He urged the parents to play an active role in shaping the future of their children. He also said that though the factors like hard work, Knowledge, Love, Luck, and conducive environment matter, but without right attitude they avail a little.

The distinguished Guest Shri Sheo Dayal Singh, Ex. Principal, Markham College of Commerce, Hazaribag felicitated the laurel earners in CBSE XII and said that of course, material and academic achievements are very good but character is more important than them. One should never be proud of the success for the academic and material successes because in real life we need the positive qualities also for the happiness. So, one must strive his/her best to develop the personality. He called upon the students to try and make the sublime message of the Bhagwat Gita of focusing only on action without any consideration for the result of the action. He said that the result is inherent in the action itself; hence taking care of the action in itself brings about the perfect result. He told them not to deviate from their chosen path. He also added that the real credit for the success of students goes to the hard working teachers who really shape the future of the students.

Speaking on the occasion Shri Amit Roy, Zonal Manager BOI, Hazaribag,   said that  DAV Institutions have been imparting quality education in the society and making it affordable to all. He said that Shri Grover did for the spread of the quality education in India what Mahatma Gandhi did for winning freedom for India.He felicitated the 10 CGPA holders.

 The Principal Shri Ashok Kumar in his welcome address acquainted the audience with the all out efforts made by the school to help the students realize their full potential. He said that the efforts the management and the faculty have borne rich fruits as is evident in the large number of performers. Further, he said that there is gradual increase in the average result every year.

Shri B. D. Shastri threw light on the life of N. D. Grover  saying that Shri  Grover was indeed a great soul who did a lot for the under privileged children of the society. He also spoke highlighting the great works done by Shri Grover.

On this occasion, the super performers who had made their mark in IIT ,JEE-Advanced Medical and CBSE Board X and XII Exams and the rising stars in literaey firmament Mihir Vats for the book “Painting That Red Circle White” Anwer Khan for his creativity in the field of dramatics,were felicitated. The mesmerizing group dance presented by students entertained the audience a lot. The ‘Reflection’ a souvenir highlighting some snapshots of the successes of dashing DAVins was also released on the occasion. The function concluded with the Shanti Path. The whole programme was anchored by the students of std. XII like  Kritika, Ananya, Mrinalini and by Mr. K. K. Singh(Teacher) .

A part from large gathering, the dignitaries of the town like Shri U.P.Singh, Principal,ShriArbind Singh, Pro.Vikash, Mr. S.Naqwi, Shri Arjun Yadav , Shri Sanjay Singh and many others were present on the occasion. The vote of thanks was prposed by Mr. K. K. Singh.
