The team of DAV Public School, Hazaribag beat the team of St. Xavier School, Hazaribag by 64 runs in the final match of Laxmi Devi Jaiswal Inter Schools tournament held in the Wale’s Ground, Hazaribag on 27th November, 2014. Having won the toss DAV scored 187 runs in 40 overs with 10 wickets where as St. Xavier scored 123 runs in 30.2 over with 10 wickets.
Showing the spectacular performance the in ground Master Ayush scored 40 runs and Manikant scored 34 runs where as Ujjawal had to satisfy himself only with 31 runs. Nikhil took 5 wickets, Ujjwal – 3 wikets and Yash took 2 wickets in this match. Mr Ravi Kumar and Mr. Praveen Kumar were the umpires where as Nagendra Kumar was the scorer of the match.
The Principal of the school Shri Ashok Kumar, congratulated winning team and said that the school has been clinching the Championship Trophy for the consecutive 9 years. It was indeed a historic day for the school. He also added that the team members will be felicitated on the grand occasion of Annual Day to be held on 17th December, 2014.
