DAV Sports, State Level Kabaddi & Kho-Kho Tournament - 2024

The Opening ceremony of DAV Sports State Level Kabaddi and Kho- Kho tournaments was inaugurated with great enthusiasm under the aegis of DAV National Sports at the local DAV Public School Senior Wing Canary Hill branch. The program started with the lighting of the lamp jointly by the Chief Guest, North Chotanagpur Division Commissioner Mrs. Suman Catherine Kespotta, the school's in-charge Principal Mrs. Kavita Pandey, DAV Koderma Principal Mr. Krishna Kumar Singh and DAV Eucalypta Branch Principal Mr. Vivekanand Chaudhary. On this occasion, the school's Principal in Charge Mrs. Kavita Pandey welcomed the guests by giving them a bouquet of flowers. On this occasion, ARO of DAV Jharkhand Zone F Cluster Mr. Nishikant Kar-,cum- Principal DAV Bhrechanagar Mr. Manoj Kumar Mishra former Principal DAV Bharechnagar, Principal of DAV Public School Ghato Mr. Tarun Kumar Mishra and other dignitaries were present to encourage the children. This tournament would be concluded with felicitation of winners and runners up teams on 24rth August 24. The winner and runners up welcomed the principals from various schools. As the chief guest, Commissioner, North Chotanagpur Division, Mrs. Suman Kispotta said that sports make us fit and strong. Today, various careers are available in sports. Our sports history has been very glorious. Many talents in sports are bringing glory to the country. A total of 1253 children from 41 DAV schools from all over Jharkhand are participating in this competition. teams would participate in National Youth Fest. In her welcome speech, the in-charge Principal said that we are feeling proud to have the Commissioner of North Chotanagpur Division as the chief guest among us. Despite her busy administrative schedule, the Commissioner is visiting DAV and encouraging the children, this shows her dedication and love for children and sports.
The two-day state level sports meet in the local DAV Public School Senior Wing Canary Hill, in which more than 1200 children from 41 DAV schools were participating, concluded late evening on 24/08/24. Managing Director of Arogya Hospital, Mr. Harsh Ajmera was present as the chief guest on this occasion. In the program, the Principal in- charge of the school, Mrs. Kavita Pandey welcomed the guests by giving them a bouquet of flowers. In her welcome speech, Mrs. Pandey said that we are feeling proud to have the captain of the leading hospital of the district among us. The Principal further said that it is a matter of further happiness for us that Harsh Ajmera is also an alumnus of our DAV Hazaribagh. In his student life, he has been the captain of DAV's cricket team.
In this two-day Kabaddi and Kho-Kho meet, DAV Nirja Sahay became the winner in the Kho-Kho tournament in the under 14 girls category while Rajrappa was the runner-up. In the same category, DAV Bundu became the winner in the boys group while DAV Munidih was the runner-up. In the girls group, DAV Lalpania became the winner in the under 17 category while Bachra was the runner-up. Similarly, Gumla became the winner in the boys group while DAV Bokaro Sector 6 was the runner-up.
In the girls group, DAV Gumla became the winner in the under 19 category while DAV Hehal Ranchi was the runner-up. In the boys group in the same age group, Kathara became the winner while DAV Gandhinagar Ranchi was the runner-up. Similarly, in the Kabaddi competition, DAV Gandhi Nagar Ranchi was the winner in the under 14 girls category and DAV Jhikpani was the runner-up. In the boys category of the same group, Lohardaga became the winner and DAV Tenughat was the runner-up. In the under 17 girls category, DAV Lohardaga was the winner and DAV Barkakana was the runner-up in Kabaddi. In the same age group, Lohardaga was the winner and DAV Swang was the runner-up in the boys category. In the under 19 girls category, DAV Gandhi Nagar was the winner and DAV Koyla Nagar, Dhanbad was the runner-up. In the same age group, DAV Kapildev, Ranchi was the winner and Ara Kuju DAV was the runner-up in the boys category. To encourage the children throughout the program, Principal of DAV Barhi, Mr. Ashok Kumar Singh , Principal of DAV Koderma, Mr. Krishna Kumar Singh, Principal of DAV Eucalypta Junior Wing, Hazaribagh, Mr. Vivekanand Chaudhary, Vice Chairman of DAV Hazaribagh's LMC- Mr. Dinesh Khandelwal and Vice President of District Olympic Association, Bhaiya Murari Prasad Sinha were also present. In this program, the children of DAV Hazaribagh also presented a colorful dance and welcome song.
