The 30th Annual Sports was jointly inaugurated by Kavita Pandey - Principal Incharge, Alok Mukherjee- Teacher Incharge of Eucalypta Branch , Sampa Srivastava Supervisory Head, Kiran Mishra Councillor and Ashwini Kumar School Training Nodal Coordinator here in DAV Public School Hazaribag on 08.02.2024.The meet was declared open with declaration of Sports Tournaments and releasing of balloons.

Kavita Pandey welcomed all and in her address she said that DAV Hazaribag always pays equal attention on scholastic as well as co-scholasticactivities. As a result students have been performing very well and winning prizes and medals at National Level Sports Tournaments. The recent performance and medals won by the students in DAV National Sports Tournaments are the living examples which made us proud of them.

The Distinguished Guest Alok Mukherjee encouraged the children saying that winning or losing the game doesn't matter, what matters the most is participation with enthusiasm, interest and zeal. Sooner or later these qualities definitely recognized and are rewarded with success.

It was 800 m race as the inaugural event in which Niranjan Kumar of XII ( Satluj Housec) got First, Sanjeet Kumar IX D ( Kaveri House ) - Second , whereas Yuvraj Singh XF ( Kaveri House got Third .Similarly, in Girls Group, Sanjana Kumari - XI F ( Ganga ) got First , Riti Kishore X I C ( Satluj ) - Second and Nidhi Kumari XI C ( Ganga ) got Third.

Anvesha XI J and Nandini Kumari XI G Shreya VIII I B, Lavanya VIIIB ,Aashi of VIII B were anchoring the programme under the guidance of Honey Chandra. On this occasion, the members of cultural committee presented welcome song and aerobic dance in which more than 50 students participated under the guidance of B K Dubey the Music Teacher of the school. The programme concluded with felicitation of House winners by Dinesh Khandelwal Vice- Chairman of the school on the basis of points scored in different events. In his address to students, he said that Sports play a very important role in shaping the the personality. Therefore, everyone must be prompt in participation.

Manoj Khandelwal, Arindam Patnayak, Poonam Prasad, C Das, Aruna Dibyadarshini and others took leading role in organizing the this programme.

Best player- Niranjan XII C( Sr.Group) & Abu Ayan Ali XI A , Best Player ( Girls Sr.Group ) - Sanjana XI F, Best Player Junior Girls Group- Anu Kumar VII C , Junior Boys Group - Bittu VII C were awarded. In this tournament, Kaveri House was declared as Runners Up with 70 points whereas Satluj House was declared as Winner with 71 points.
