In DAV Public School in Canary Hill, a  programme was organized by the IG of BSF Meru Camp under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav for those students of Senior Secondary who want to make their career in NDA, Indian Air Force, Navy and Army. The programme started by lighting the lamp jointly by Shri PS Bains IG BSF, Meru, Shri HK Pathak, Deputy Commandant, BSF, Meru and Shri Ashok Kumar Principal DAV Public School, Hazaribagh.

Welcoming the resource person, the Principal of the school said that the present young generation is full of zeal to serve the country. But sometimes, in the absence of proper knowledge and awareness, they are not able to choose their career properly.

Speaking on this subject as a Resource  Person, Shri PS Bains said that our country needs the services of the youth. Keeping this in mind, the government has brought the policy of Agneepath in the army, through which more and more youths will be provided opportunities in the defence sector. With regard to the preparation of NDA and Defence Services, he suggested the students to have a good command   over English Language, Mathematics, General Science and General Knowledge. Along with this, the students were made aware about the ill-effects of drug addiction & use of intoxicated items . He said that today's young generation is deteriorating due to drug addiction. Apart from this, other points related to recruitment in BSF were also discussed.

Shri HK Pathak, the another Resource Person  suggested  the students to focus on discipline, proper routine, practice question sets and read the English newspaper. Apart from this, he also appealed to create awareness among the neighbours about drug addiction and the harm of drugs.

This session was actually a very interactive session in which the students put their questions to the processors and got proper guidance. In this session, students also asked about the preparation of BSF commissioned posts  and other competitive examinations conducted by the Defense Department.

On this occasion some patriotic songs were also presented by the orchestra team of BSF for the entertainment of the students which were really entertaining and ear pleasing for  all. It is to be known that such a program is being organized in various schools by the soldiers of BSF Meru Camp to participate in the Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi and in the same episode this program was organized in DAV. On this occasion Miss Gunjan  BDO  of Sadar Block Hazaribag  was also present as  a specialGuest.
