The Amrit Mahotsav ceremony organized at DAV Public School was jointly inaugurated by the Deputy Commissioner of the district, Mr. Aditya Kumar Anand, District Development Commissioner Mr. Abhay Kumar Sinha and Mr. Ashok Kumar Principal by lighting the inaugural lamp. On this occasion, the students of the school gave a live performance of the play 'Zara Yaad Karo Qurbani', the sacrifice story of the great freedom fighter Lala Lajpat Rai. Addressing the function as the chief guest, the Chief Guest said that we have got this freedom because of the sacrifices of lakhs of martyrs. The purpose of organizing programs full of patriotism under the aegis of Amrit Mahotsav is to make the country aware of the saga of the great sons of the country. On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner honored the meritorious students under the Star Performers Award Ceremony. The list of super performers of the school included
Utkarsh who secured 55th rank in UPSC, Siddharth Kumar, who stood first in OBC group in CLAT exam all over India, Nirmay Himanshu Gaurav, Fatima Zohra, Srishti Prasad, Geetanjali, Neha Naaz, Shreya Shreya Prasoon, Alok Kumar Chaudhary, Ujjwal Deep, Shekhar Kumar, Krishnadev Prasad, Tushar Anand, Abhishek Mehta, Aditya Agarwal many others were there who performed exceedingly well in AISSCE, NTSE and other Co scholastic fields.
Addressing the children, the Deputy Commissioner said that there is no shortcut to success. Continuous efforts in the right direction under the guidance of teachers and parents definitely lead to success. The Deputy Development Commissioner, as a special guest, praised the artistes playing Bhagat Singh and Lal Lajpat Rai in the drama based on the boycott of the Simon Commission and the martyrdom of Lalaji. School Principal Ashok Kumar expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all the guests. He also informed the district administration that all the children of junior and senior branches are busy in preparing for the Amrit Mahotsav with full enthusiasm. In this series, the partnership of small children of LKG and UKG has also been ensured.
On this occasion many other dignitaries of the town, intellectuals were present beside the Parents and students.
