Dear alumni ,Friends ,Members of LMC ,Parents n well wishers,
It gives me immense happiness to share that Mihir Vatsa, the alumnus of our school and a well known author has penned his debut non-fiction,’Tales of Hazaribagh’.It is a very proud moment for all of us who have seen his growth from a small town student to a renowned writer.Winner of the Srinivas Rayaprol Poetry Prize and Toto Funds the Arts award for Writing in India, Mihir was the 2014-15 Charles Wallace Fellow of Writing at University of Stirling. His first book of poems Painting That Red Circle White was published in 2014 by Authors Press (Delhi). The book ‘Tales of Hazaribagh is unique on many fronts. It features a place absent in most tourist guides and itineraries — Hazaribagh which offered the British a respite from the heat of the surrounding plains and came to be known as a ‘hill station’ and ‘heath resort. The Hindu of 30th January 2022 also speaks highly about Mihir’s creation.
I ,on behalf of the whole DAV Hazaribag family congratulate him on his successful endeavour and pray to almighty for many such successes in future. It his sincerity and out of box approach which has made him reach this height. May god give him prosperity and happiness in life.
