BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION OF EMINENT AUTHORS IN D.A.V. PUBLIC SCHOOL, HAZARIBAGH

Reading Club of D.A.V. Public School, Hazaribagh had organized a program celebrating the birth month of the authors like Emily Bronte, Ernest Hemingway, Alexander Dumas and J.K. Rowling. The program, organized by teachers like Sampa Srivastava (I/C Reading Club) and Ananya Mukhopadhyay alongwith the students like Kajal and Anjali of XII E,

started with lighting the lamp by the Principal of the school Ashok Kr. Srivastava and was followed by speeches on the authors by Anushka Sejal (IX A), Mayank Raj (IX A), Amouli Raj (IX A) and Mayank Prakash (IX A).

On the occasion a story-telling competition was also been organized in which Mayank Raj(IX A) and Tathagat Kaushik (IX A) in Senior Group and Priyanshu Kumar (VI B) and Muznah (VI A) in Junior Group secured 1^st and 2^nd positions respectively. The main attraction of the program was a Quiz Competition conducted by the Senior students namely Deepak, Sadiqua and Prasan where not only did the students get the chance to answer but also the golden opportunity to know certain interesting and unknown facts about the aforesaid authors. Aadarsh Krishna (IX A) stood 1^st in Quiz by answering the maximum number of questions, followed by the joint runner up Siddharth Sawarn (IX A) and Siddharth Singh (IX B). The Principal in his speech threw light on the life and works of the authors and motivated the students for participating in more such programs.
