Dear Parents/Guardians,

You are well aware that the whole world is going through a difficult phase due to the spread of Covid -19 Corona Virus round the globe. India has also not remained untouched by this pandemic and till date about 1965 cases have been reported in the country. Therefore, keeping the seriousness of this situation it is advisable that we should follow all the instructions laid down by the authorities for the Lockdown period. It will be imperative to stay at home, maintain Social distancing, wear masks and wash hands regularly. Some precautions which should be taken to protect ourselves getting affected with this virus are as follow:

1. Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Maintain at least three feet distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing.

2. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.

3. Stay home when you are sick.

4. Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then dispose of the tissue safely.

5. Clean and disinfect frequently-touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe..

6. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating, and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing. If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.

7. If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical attention immediately.

In this period the children should be taken much care of as they are more prone to being affected. Simultaneously, it would be our wisdom to get our children engaged for utilising this time properly at home. Our school management has been providing e-assistance to continue academic odyssey through whatsApp group concerned. You are requested to make them go through these sites and utilise this time in a proper way. This time is extremely valuable so the students are urged to start their studies. I think that the web sites which have already been suggested are proving highly beneficial for your wards. Our  Subject  teachers , HODs  and Academic In-charges have started giving useful  materials , ,videos  and Tata edge classes link. Some more materials prepared by our teachers are also being supplied day wise. The involvement of the students even in such tough condition and their feedback is highly praiseworthy. We hope that the same enthusiasm shall continue till last.

You would be extremely happy and feel proud to be associated with DAV Organisation as our President Hon'ble Shri Punam Suri DAV CMC, New Delhi contributed Rs. Five Crores to Prime Minister's Cares Fund for providing help to Covid-19 affected victims. Even many school buildings are being used as quarantine centres. Each and every staff member of DAV organization in India and abroad donated their one day salary for combating the most miserable condition of Indians caused by such a pandemic disease. In this context, how I can forget to mention here that each and every member of DAV family Hazaribag showed their philanthropic attitude by donating the amount of one day salary or more(Rs.3,27,000) also for this noble cause.

Being highly impressed with significant contribution of DAV Organization, our Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji expressed his high appreciation. In his compliment, he said that DAV organization has not  only imparting quality education to society at cheaper rate in comparison to other academic institutions but also has been showing it's positive thinking and impact in strengthening New India. All initiatives being taken by the organization clearly shows it's solidarity with nation. It's pragmatic & holistic approach is always worth to be appreciated.
