An online webinar was organized under the aegis of CBSE on the topic of Tabulation of marks for class X Board Exam 2021 based on Internal Assessment conducted by schools".

The minutes of the meeting are:

1.The City Coordinator Mr.Ashok Kumar welcomed  Dr.Burman RO CBSE ,Patna Zone ,Dr.Urmila Singh ARO Jharkhand Zone D as Resource Person and the Principals of CBSE affiliated schools from Hazaribag, Koderma, Ramgarh, Chatra  and other districts.

2.Dr.Burman RO CBSE, Patna Zone in his address to all first expressed his concern on the increase in the cases of Corona Pandemic in the nation and advised everyone to follow the COVID 19 guidelines issued by the Govt. strictly to be safe and healthy. He further said that this year the schools are going to play a major role in preparing the result of class X as on account of pandemic situation their examination has been  cancelled. He emphasized on the point that the responsibility of the preparation of final result of X board solely lies on the Examination Committee constituted by the school.

He also answered questions of some participating Principals during the webinar. He suggested the Principals to follow the instructions laid down by CBSE strictly. Further, he focused on documentation of evidences for verification by CBSE if required.

3.The Resource Person Dr.Mrs Urmila Singh talking on the topic said that reliability, flexibility, fairness and validity would the key principles for this noble task in the interest of children. The marks of   marks scored by students in pen paper test  in Mid Term, Pre- Board either through online or offline will be basis of Tabulation work. She explained all guidelines framed by CBSE in this regard in detail in order to make the concept very clear for all Principals.

4.She made it clear to all that the internal assessment will be of 20 marks (5 marks Pen Paper test+ 5 marks subject enrichment + 5 marks portfolio + 5 marks multiple assessments). As far as External Assessment is concerned it will be bifurcated in the following manner.

10 marks - Periodic test/ Unit test

30 marks – MidTerm/Half Yearly  Examination

40 marks - Pre- Board.

5.A query  session was also organized in which many Principals asked questions.

6.It was also suggested to the Principals that they may ask any queries if they feel problems. The city coordinator  Shri Ashok Kumar assured to all the Principals who come under his coordinatorship that he will be available from early morning to 10.30 at night to solve their query if possible or forward It to RO, Patna for a better solution.

5.It was indeed a very interactive  webinar in which 150  Principals joined not only through Zoom but also through YouTube link.
