A workshop –cum- competition on the topics “Learn to build websites using HTML” and “Know your circuits using PSpice” under the aegis of Techno Zeal- 2016-17 was organized by the Dept. of Physics here on 23.10.2016 and 24.10.2016 jointly by DAV Public School, Hazaribag and the Silicon Institute of Technology Bhubaneshwar. The students of DAV PS Hazaribag, St. Xaviers School, Vivekanand Central School and Holy Cross School participated in it.

Dr. D. K. Tripathi and Prof. Vikram Mishra were the resource persons who  taught the children the basics of HTML and about working of the different tags used in this markup language to design attractive web pages. Thereafter, they involved the participants in the completion for designing a web site. Prof. Bishwajeet Baral, Asst. Prof. Bikash Kumar Sahoo and tech. asst. S.K Roshan Ali were the resource persons for the Circuitica programme. They explained the students how to create and solve electrical circuits using PSpice.

Amarkant Roy , Shriniwash Mishra and Vivek Goswami of DAV Hazaribag were declared the winners in the competition  on “Designing a web page using HTML” held on 23.10.2016. In the same competition, Nitish Kumar Gupta, Anurag Anand and Akash of DAV Hazaribag and Awanish Kumar, Rhishikesh Ranjan and Harsh Singh of Holy Cross School scored the same points for the second position.

Prasann Prashar, Abhishek Anand & Vishwajeet Kumar of DAV Hazaribag were declared as winners whereas Vishal Kumar,Siddhartha Barthawal & Abhijeet Kumar of DAV Hazaribag were declared as 1^st runners  up and Manish Aggarwal,Adarsh Ayooshman Jha &Raj Aggarwal of St.Xaviers were declared as 2^nd runners  up in the “Circuitica” program  held on 24.10.2016 on “Know your circuits using PSpice” The prize recipients were also given a cash award of Rs. 3000,2000 and 1000 to the first, second and the third position holders respectively.

The Principal Shri Ashok Kumar congratulated the winning teams and felicitated the resource persons by presenting them the mementoes. He said on this occasion, that this two day long programme was really a very knowledge enriching programme which befitted the students.  Indeed the programme was so interactive that every student’s active and willing participation was noticed.This  is being organized for consecutive three  years and the students of  DAV H.Bag  have been winning the first prize. He also thanked the teachers of Dept. of Physics for taking the leading role.
