DAV Hazaribag held its 9^th N.D. Grover Memorial Super Performers’ Felicitation Ceremony today at the Sr. Wing of the school here. The name of Shri Grover, the visionary of whose missionary zeal for making quality education accessible to all, DAV Hazaribag is the product, has come to symbolize his mission. With a view to perpetuate his legacy, DAV Hazaribag has been holding this ceremony since 2009. This year this function was inaugurated by Shri Ranjeet Kumar Prasad IPS , DIG- cum- Joint Director, Jharkhand Police Academy, Hazaribag and Dr. H. S. Gupta, IFS, APCCF Hazaribag Region.

In his address to the audience which included, apart from the students and the faculty, the super performers and their parents and the prominent citizens, IIT , IIT-JEE, Medical aspirants and 10 CGPA holders, the Chief Guest said on the occasion that Shri Grover was indeed to be called Mahatma for his sacrifices that he did for the society. He urged the parents to play an active role in shaping the future of their children. He also said that though the factors like hard work, Knowledge, Love, Luck, and conducive environment matter, but without right attitude they avail little. He also suggested the parents not to impose their ambition on their children because a burdened child can never achieve the target.

Shri Santosh Kumar Dist.&Sessions Judge, Chatra said that of course, material and academic achievements are very good but character is more important than them. One should never be proud of the success for the academic and material successes because in real life we need the positive qualities also for the happiness. So, one must strive his/her best to develop the personality.

 Shri Deepak Verma IG (Retd) called upon the students to try and make the sublime message of the Bhagwat Gita of focusing only on action without any consideration for the result of the action. He also added that the real credit for the success of students goes to the hard working teachers who really shape the future of the students.

Speaking on the occasion Shri Ranjan Jain, Vice-Chairman, LMC, DAV Hazaribag,   said that the result is inherent in the action itself;  as the action so the result is. Hence,he suggested them not to deviate from their chosen path.

 The Principal Shri Ashok Kumar in his welcome address acquainted the audience with the all out efforts made by the school to help the students realize their full potential. He said that the efforts the management and the faculty have borne rich fruits as is evident in the large number of performers. Further, he said that the present average result of the school is an indication  of gradual increase in every year.

Shri Baldeo Pandey threw light on the life of N. D. Grover  saying that Shri Grover was indeed a great soul who did a lot for the under privileged children of the society. He also spoke highlighting the great works done by Shri Grover.

On this occasion, the super performers who had made their mark in IIT JEE, Medical and CBSE Board X and XII Exams, UPSC ( Puja Rani) &JPSC( Sandeep Suman and Ravi Shankar) and CBSE Science Exhibition(Anurag & Nitish) were felicitated.t. The ‘Reflection’ a souvenir highlighting some snapshots of the successes of dashing DAVins was also released on the occasion.The function concluded with the Shanti Path. A part from large gathering, the dignitaries of the town like  Shri Saroj Kumar Sammantary SDM,LIC, Shri Shivnath Nandi Dy. Zonal Manager,Bank of India ,Shri Mahavir Lal Vishwakarma,Ex.M.P. and many other were present on the occasion.
