Unity Day was organized under CBSE activity on 31/10/2003 in the premises of local DAV Public School On this occasion, a special assembly was organized in the school, flowers were offered to the portrait of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and students were given information about his work and personality. While addressing the children, teacher in-charge of the school, Mrs. Kavita Pandey said that Sardar Patel was the first Home Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of independent India. His dream was of a united India. Strong-willed Sardar Patel, inspired by this feeling, merged the princely states of India with India. For this reason, we Indians also know him by the name of Iron Man. Mrs. Pandey made the children take a pledge that we have to strengthen the country by moving forward on the path shown by her. All the teachers of the school were also present on this occasion.
