Duregesh Anand, Std. VIII and Himanshu Gaurav, Std. VII added another feathers to the cap of DAV Public School, Hazaribag by achieving 1st and 3rd rank respectively in their groups in the Phase – II (Hands on Competition) of Vaigyanika-2016 at National Level which was held under the aegis of Science Education Centre at SR DAV Public School, New Delhi on 22nd January, 2016.
The Principal of the school Shri Ashok Kumar told that our students were selected out of 8778 students from 56 schools from 10 different states in the Phase I written examination. They represented the school by performing very well and earned laurels and high appreciation in this competition. These participants were awarded with cash prizes, Certificates and trophies. Durgesh Anand was felicitated with a cash prize of Rs. 6000 where as Himanshu Gourav was given Rs. 3000, Vishal Gourav was given Rs. 1000 as consolation. He congratulated the students and Mr. Rajendra Kumar Roy (Teacher for Physics) who had prepared the students for this National level competition. The aim and objective of this competition is to help the students in learning the theoretical and practical aspects of any project with its details through Hands On competition.
